Long Time

Wow, it's been a very very long time. I haven't touched my blog for few years already. When I read my previous posts I was taken by surprise. The person that writes that post doesn't seem like today's me. I think it's quite fun to write down what's in your mind on blog then read it again in the next few years. You will be surprised by your changes through all the years.

For the last few years I've been training myself to share only positive things on my social pages. I used to post not just appraisal/encouragement words but also harsh critics words and my complaints until I saw my friend's social pages update who always post negative comments and complaints. At that moment I felt that it's very disturbing and ruining my happy mood when I read it. So starting there I decided not to post all the harsh critics or complaint. Even if I post it, it has to be in encouraging stories rather than complaint and blaming stories.

I've been working in Singapore for almost one year now. Not such an easy changes I admit, I'm so much in love with my previous work environment but due to personal reason I have to move to Singapore. At first everything looks so convenient and organized, but in the end they have a different culture and habit. When I was moving from my hometown to work in Jakarta I did notice there are different habit and behavior but it doesn't go to the extent different culture. It takes a while for me to understand the culture here, not just the working environment but also the society culture and way of thinking.

That's all for now, I'm wondering what I feel when I read this post in the next few years.

No More Disconnected Mobile Modem...!

I've been using Vodafone Huawei E172 for two years. Just like others mobile modem user I used to have some problems with my Huawei but after two years experience in using and troubleshooting now I can say mine is perfect...! Hooray, no more disconnected modem! Wanna know my tips? Check this out.

First, not all USB ports support the modem, some of it seems lack of electrical power that make the modem seems disconnected just a few seconds after it detected on the computer. For PC users, I suggest you used USB ports at the back side, not all front side USBs supports enough electricity for your modem. For notebook users, mostly this problem not happening to you but in case you have this problem I suggest you try each of you USB ports, and when you found one that seems ok remember to put your modem there. Last but important, don't use USB Hubs...! Most USB hubs we bought are not supported with additional adaptor, surely there won't be enough power for your modem that's why it's not detected in you computer.

Second, after getting your modem detected it's often found during the use modem will get hot and at some point it get disconnected. Before I bought mine people already warned me about this one, but what can I say I need it so I bought it and get myself stressed out. At first I used a regular USB port to attach my modem, and just like everyone has warned before after some time it get disconnected and I need to re-attach it to get detected again. That's so frustrating moment for me. Lately I found out that eSATA port can be used to attach any USB devices too. Stupid me, knowing this after a long time I have my notebook. Once I tried to attach my modem to eSATA USB port, and voila..! No more disconnected device, and my baby is so stable...! Best I've ever used, believe it or not.

Hope my tips can help you out of your nightmare. Enjoy..!

Pray for A Wisdom...!

I am someone that you can say little bit stubborn. If I already has an interest to do something or getting curious about something I can put all my efforts and focus on that thing. Often when I read or doing something with too much focus I don't hear people calling me, it just like I'm on my own world. Maybe because of that character of mine I totally agree with this motto : "Pray to God for a wisdom to change what can be changed and to accept what can't be changed."

I has some friends whom in my opinion they are not really wise in making a big decision in their life, such as relationship partner, choosing job or major in college. The reason why I think it's not wise maybe because I know for real they can do better than that, they deserve someone better for them or maybe that choice is not the best for them. As time goes by I will always try to tell my friend to re-think about their choices until one day that choice is made and there is no way back. And when that has happened I will feel really nervous, worried for the choices they made may hurt them and make them disappointed.

I have watched many of my close beloved peoples making the wrong decision, tried to tell them but they keep going and in the end their choices bring something bad for them. I know not all of us can accept an advice or critic, I know by telling them my different opinion there is a chance they hate me or feeling away from me. But more of that, I can't stand watching people that I love getting hurt. I don't like that feeling, feeling worried for my friends and don't trust them for their selves.

Until one day I come to this thinking : maybe one day in the future they may feel sorry for this decision but for now I just want to support them, be their strength to walk down the road they have chosen. Even though their decision may still be a wrong one, I'd really like to help them struggle, put some efforts changing any possible bad result from that wrong decision into minimum damage, or even better make it resulting something good and fine.

Well these last few years really has become my class to learn living my life as the motto said. Pray to God for a wisdom to change what can be changed and to accept what can't be changed.

I am Proud of Garuda....!

It's been "hot" in Jakarta for the last few days, people keep talking about the AFF football championship. I know less about the game, all I know my national team is going to final facing his "brother but enemy" Malaysia.

For quite a long time these two nations have had many things crashed, started from silly things to serious matters. I think Indonesia's leaders have been very wise, calm and humble facing so many crash happened before even though many Indonesian people has been asking the leaders to take discipline action about Malaysia. More and more Indonesian people hate Malaysia as day by day more crashes happens. Not hating in specific racism way but hating the arrogant attitude acts of Malaysia as a nation. A lot of us feel that Malaysia has tried to claim a lot of our cultures as their cultures, even though actually it's normal for these two nations shares a lot of common since they live nearly and share a lot of genetic race together but what make many Indonesian people angry is not that point, I think it's more about the arrogant attitude that has been shown.

I'm not an expert in political view but I know one thing for sure : people will always see the act, they won't really look for what's the reason behind because for so many reasons they can't. I know every nation has to protect their needs but getting what you need while hurting others is not a good attitude right? I mean maybe Malaysia has their own reasons for all the crashes that has happened but still is it so hard to show Indonesian people that you can be a nation's friend of Indonesia? Having a kind heart is not enough to make people see your kind heart, you need to act and show them in gestures or comments to make people know you have a kind heart right?

Okay, enough of the background story. So we all know among Indonesian and Malaysian there has been a hidden anger and hatred that roots for years. Too many hatred that result to this two words : "Indosial" and "Malingsia". For you who never learn Indonesia or Malaysia national language you may not understand what those words mean. So let me explain a little bit. In this word "Indo-sial", "sial" means bad luck while in "Maling-sia", "maling" means thief. Now you see how deep is the hatred between these two nations?

With all those years hatred can you imagine how emotional it is to watch those two national teams match in the final of AFF football championship. For the final there will be two matches, one in Malaysia and one in Indonesia. At December 26th, 2010 the first final match is held in Malaysia and the result is Indonesia lose to Malaysia 3-0. Being win or lose in a match is just normal but it's not just a normal lose for Indonesia if Indonesia once won 5-1 from Malaysia at the previous match (before the final phase) and there are "special distortion" in the first final match that held in Malaysia. The "special distortion" has happened before at the previous match between Malaysia and Vietnam. If you tweet I'm sure you must notice there was a trending topic in Twitter "MalaysiaCheatLaser". Most of Indonesian considered Malaysia cheating, Malaysia supporters was bringing laser thing and pointing the lasers to Indonesian team especially the keeper in order to disturb the team. It just so disturbing that at one point the referee has to pause the match before the penalty kick for there were lasers pointing at Indonesia's keeper face. Can you imagine how disturbing is that to have a laser pointed at your face while you try to see clearly where the ball going to be kicked?

If this is the first time happens I may considered it just my own people that can't accept the fact Malaysia teams play better than our team. But hey this is not the first time, it happened before and the Vietnam team has complained and they do nothing. No discipline action, no warning at all. Before the first final match in Malaysia, Indonesian team is aware of this issue and warned Malaysia that they might do a walkout if this thing also happens in the final match. And guess what? Malaysia do nothing, they just let it happens and ignore it. We all did mistake right but if we've been warned and told that it's a mistake and must not let it happens again but in the end we do nothing and act like nothing bad happens what do you think? You must think it must be done intentionally. That's what I think now.

Some sentences just often snaps in my mind when I see, hear or read one or two things that inspire me. Anyway Indonesia won 2-1 over Malaysia for the second final match but it's not enough to win the championship. This is the one in my mind that I tweeted about the second final match : "My national team win the match fair and I am proud of them, not like other nation who win the championship but in unfair way, with lasers help."

I know my nation is not perfect, so many corruption and selfishness in our government but at least we play fair. Thanks to our national team....! I know nothing of football but still seeing you all fighting till the end for us is an amazing thing.

Note : Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Malaysia national team. I appreciate them for they have done their best but I think they should realize this is not a fair win. I wonder if there was no laser help can they keep the trophy? Nevertheless this is just one of my sharing. What I think and what I feel, not always an absolute truth for everyone. So if there is any Malaysian read my post I'm sorry before, for you will not like my post and may feel insulted.

Another Blogging Time?

It's been a very super long time since my last post, for some unknown reason I've been losing my appetite to post for a long long time and suddenly this morning reading my friends's blogs I feel a sudden urge to start blogging again. It's not gonna be just another sharing post but I think I'm gonna post more technical article about my job. I have worked full time as Infrastructure Team for almost two years and I think it's fun to share little bit some technical problem I've solved.

Note : And looks like my writing style gonna change little bit since this post but still I hope my post can give you something fun and enjoyable to read.

Got a Sudden Backache

Yesterday I woke up fine and just do my daily morning chores such as taking my laundry, take a bath, and brush my teeth. But something unexpected happened suddenly. While doing one of my daily morning chores my back was hurt. I didn't fall or hit something. I just try to bow down and suddenly one of back muscles felt stretched and hurt. I've tried to lay down for a few minutes hoping that the muscle will get back to normal but this efforts didn't work.

So here I am, these two days I've been feeling this backache and still not figure out yet what to do to heal it. Some of friends suggests using a muscle pain gel but I don't think it will work. My current idea is going to TCM centre (Traditional Chinese Medicine) this weekend. I believe that this kind of sickness will heal better and quicker with the eastern methods compare to western methods.

Things to Check Out for Girls

Girls, I'd like to share you some tips before you choose a man for serious relationship. These tips are taken from my own knowledge and experience also from other relationships that I've seen.

First, you must know what kind of man you want. If you don't know what kind of man you want then you might ended trying dating this man and that man. In the end other will think of you as playgirl. So better know the type of man you want.

Second, if you already know what kind of man you want then next step is considering your man's friends. If his friends are "bad boys" that don't always mean he's a bad boy too but remember this, man listens to his friends. If your man having "bad boy" friends I suggest you to be careful. When your man is on the well condition he might be fine and able to refuse his friends crazy suggestions. But we never know can he resist the temptation when he's down.

Third, you must know the family background before you start to get serious with him. This might seem silly for you. You might think "I marry him not his parents" but many surveys show that almost all parents in law especially mother in law are having a crash with their son or daughter in law. You might think it's fine no matter how bad his family are as long as he's good. But that just a theory. Practically that's not going to happen in real world.

This may be one example. Your man definitely won't just stand if one of his family got debt. And those debt will effect your marriage financial in the end. You should really consider this aspect. Another example, if he's having a paranoid parents and they keep calling everyday of course this will make both of you uncomfortable. He's getting annoyed by his parents calls and you are annoyed since those calls will disturb your quality time together. Imagine if you two were in a date and one of his parents was calling and sounds so persistent asking him accompany him/her to some place which is not really an urgent matter.

See...? So girls, you must really check out your man's family background. Never take it easy.

Flex and Crocs

Lately Chubby has getting more and more addicted to Flex. I've made a commitment to myself. Once I had enough spare money I'll take the certification. Hahahaha. I'm so mad in love with Flex. Gosh...! Can't wait to start coding with Flex. Viva Flex...! Viva RIA...! Viva Adobe...!

I've just realized I might need a new sandals soon. My old Reebok looks so ugly yet still comfortable but I think it won't last no more than a year. I've been using this Reebok for 5 years. What a great companion...! At first my Reebok looked very expensive comparing to the price but considering the toughness it's so cheap. I bought it for Rp. 100.000,- and it has lasted for 5 years. So technically I only cost Rp. 20.000,-/year. As cheap as you buy Swallow but this one has better look and feels great for your feet. I've decided as soon as I have a chance I'll go buy this Crocs for my next travel mate.

Anyone who has any information about my wish list please share it with me. A sale event maybe? (^__^)v

Things On My Mind

Right now Chubby is waiting at C-2's Soekarno-Hatta waiting room for Mandala airlines flight going to Surabaya. Many things are on my mind. Excited, happy, also in rush for going to Surabaya. Before I forget something I'd like to share a little bit with you. Not much but I just want to share it before I forget what it is. 

Yesterday I was confused about tranportation going to airport. Some of my friend suggest TransCab taxi but most of my friends and family suggest BlueBird taxi. Everyone know there is such a big difference fare between those two cabs. TransCab is a low cost cab while BlueBird is not. The difference fare can cost until 30% saving. So I'm really considering which one to choose. I want to know whether BlueBird cost is affordable for my pocket. For my first flight everything is fine. I went to the airport at 5 am, the roads are still empty. Using BlueBird from Kemanggisan to airport at empty road costs me Rp. 100.000,-.

Rp. 11.000 for toll

Rp. 85.000-90.000 for taxi fare

What about my return flight's transport to office? Unfortunately my Sunday night flight were cancelled without some strong reasons by Mandala Airlines so I have to fly early at Monday morning. And my arrival time will be the "going to office" time so you can imagine how crowded the road will be. I was quite worried about the cost if I'm going to take BlueBird again. Empty road costed me a hundred thousands then what about traffic jam?

Then one of my friends told me there was GoldenBird, one of BlueBird company's child. A car rental with one of it's services is one drop way from airport. So I hurry booked an Avanza car for Rp. 150.000,-, that price include the toll. Well I guess that's quite affordable for me and the best is it is a flat rate drive so I'm gonna be fine, no worry about the cost no matter how bad the traffic jam is. 

That's a little share for me. Hope this can help you find a solution if you are confused about the transportation going and from airport. In the end I think I'm going to be a BlueBird loyal customer. Their services just so so good. Better think twice before you choose cheap taxi. I read so many bad experiences with this kind of taxi. And you'll never know whether you're going to be lucky or not. I'm sure you don't want endangered yourself just for saving money which you can earn again later.

My Internet Usage Summary

Setelah 2-3 hari mencoba pemakaian internet dengan Telkomsel Flash Chubby akhirnya menyadari ada beberapa hal yang perlu teman-teman perhatikan kalau memakai Telkomsel Flash terutama yang unlimited.

• Yakinlah untuk memastikan nomor Telkomsel Flash kita sudah aktif. Jika belum aktif dan kita menggunakannya maka kita akan dikenakan tarif regular. Bisa kebayang kan betapa mahalnya tarif internet Telkomsel yang regular (o___O)
  
• Kalo kita pake Telkom Speedy kita bisa mengecek kuota bandwidth kita di website yang disediakan oleh pihak ISP. Nah Telkomsel Flash tidak menyediakan fitur seperti itu. Chubby sudah cari-cari ternyata tidak disediakan.
  
• Untuk setting Access Point Network (APN) biarpun di website diberitahu bahwa ada dua pilihan APN yakni telkomsel dan internet tapi kenyataannya setelah dicoba yg APN internet ternyata lebih cepat.

Akhirnya setelah satu bulan terdampar di kos tanpa internet penderitaan Chubby berakhir...! Sabtu kemarin Huawei E172 sudah diantar ke kos dan Senin kemarin kartu TelkomFlashnya sudah di tangan. Huahuahua...! Leganya ada inet di kos...! Akhirnya ada link ke dunia luar...!

Untuk teman-teman yang mau beli HSDPA USB modem mungkin Chubby mau sarankan untuk mencoba beli di www.JakartaNotebook.com. A New Beginning

Wow...! Setelah sekian lama tidak nge-blog akhirnya sempat juga posting. Maap semuanya...! Chubby beberapa bulan terakhir sibuk banget. Habis wisuda Chubby kedatangan saudara dari Ausie, alhasil sibuk nemenin mereka jalan-jalan ngga sempat mikir topik buat posting blog. Honto gomen nasai...! ＼(>o<)／ Benar-benar maaf yang sedalam-dalamnya udah cuekin blog and ngga sempat blogwalking ke tempat kalian-kalian.

Sekarang Chubby lagi kerja di Jakarta. Sebenarnya mau ikutan training baru kerja tapi karena trainingnya diundur alhasil sementara Chubby diperbantukan di kantor daripada nganggur. Yah akhirnya Chubby jadi perantau juga. Mana di kota yang Chubby ga suka lagi, Jakarta yang ramai dan macet (-_-!)

Goodbye Toshy

Hari ini Chubby mulai mencari tahu tentang cara maupun metode penjualan laptop second. Kebetulan Chubby mau jual laptop yang lama. Sebenarnya masih tidak rela jual sih. Kalau bisa pakai aja terus sampai benar-benar mati atau Rest In Peace alias ngga bisa nyala maupun ngga bisa dibetulin. Tapi bokap mengusulkan untuk dijual saja biar nanti uang penjualan bisa dipakai untuk subsidi beli laptop yang lebih baru. Dengan sedih hati dan setelah melalui banyak pertimbangan maka setujulah Chubby untuk menjual laptop tersebut.

Laptop ini merupakan laptop pertama Chubby. Untuk mendapatkan laptop ini pun Chubby juga dengan cukup susah payah harus meyakinkan bokap nyokap kalau memang Chubby butuh laptop. Akhirnya setelah menunggu selama 1 tahun bokap menyetujui untuk beli laptop. Setelah survey model, harga dan merk maka pilihan Chubby jatuh pada Toshiba Satellite M40 dengan spesifikasi sebagai berikut :

• LCD 15,4" Wide Screen (buat nonton film mantep banget nih, Chubby benar-benar menikmati nonton film di laptop, selain ukuran LCD yang besar sehingga nyaman di mata model LCD yang wide screen jadi seolah-olah seperti nonton di bioskop)

Karena merknya Toshiba maka untuk laptop pertama ini Chubby namain Toshy. Quite cute kan? Hehehe. Toshy ini Chubby beli pada 30 Juli 2005. Toshy telah menemani Chubby mulai dari main Tower Defense, Age of Empires, Dota sampai game-game kecil seperti Diner Dash maupun monopoli. Selain itu Toshy sangat setia menemani Chubby mengerjakan semua tugas-tugas kuliah dan TA. Tugas kuliah seberat apapun Toshy selalu bisa handle, mulai dari Oracle 9 sampai dengan OLAP. Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu dan kebutuhan maka setelah dipertimbangkan baik-baik Chubby mengupgrade memori Toshy dari 512 menjadi 1 G. Dengan memori 1 G ini maka Toshy menemani Chubby berjuang menyelesaikan TA mulai dari pembuatan proposal sampai dengan sidang TA. Selama sejarah Toshy tidak pernah sekalipun membuat Chubby sampai harus menggunakan PC dalam pengerjaan tugas. Bisa dibayangkan how close Chubby with Toshy. He's my man!

But everything has an end. Seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi maka Toshy pun akhirnya sudah menjadi cukup tua. Akhirnya Chubby putuskan menjual Toshy dan membeli laptop baru. Goodbye Toshyku sayang..! Thanx for all your hard work and your companion. I'm gonna miss you.

Sejarah Toshy :

• 30 Juli 2005 - Toshy dibeli seharga $1500 dengan kurs dolar sekitar 9800an.
• Juli 2007 - Adaptor Toshy rusak, beli adaptor baru seharga 1,5 juta (T__T)
• Januari 2008 - Keyboard huruf a Toshy lepas, sudah cek harga keyboard barunya sekitar 1 juta tapi karena dirasa mahal akhirnya tidak beli
• Februari 2008 - Keyboard huruf i menyusul lepas.
• Maret 2008 - Upgrade memori jadi 1 G.
  
• 4 Desember 2008 - Toshy Chubby iklankan di bekas.com dan terjual seharga 3 juta.

Who Is Ayub?

Sejak kecil di sekolah minggu kita selalu dikenalkan kepada tokoh satu ini sebagai orang yang dicobai iblis dengan sebegitu parahnya tapi tetap setia dan takut pada Allah. Bertahun-tahun Chubby juga memandang tokoh ini dari sudut yang serupa hingga hari ini Chubby diberikan satu sudut pandang yang baru oleh Big Dad. Di bawah ini adalah kutipan dari kitab Ayub bagian awal.

1:1. Ada seorang laki-laki di tanah Us bernama Ayub; orang itu saleh dan jujur; ia takut akan Allah dan menjauhi kejahatan. 

1:2 Ia mendapat tujuh anak laki-laki dan tiga anak perempuan. 

1:3 Ia memiliki tujuh ribu ekor kambing domba, tiga ribu ekor unta, lima ratus pasang lembu, lima ratus keledai betina dan budak-budak dalam jumlah yang sangat besar, sehingga orang itu adalah yang terkaya dari semua orang di sebelah timur.

1:4. Anak-anaknya yang lelaki biasa mengadakan pesta di rumah mereka masing-masing menurut giliran dan ketiga saudara perempuan mereka diundang untuk makan dan minum bersama-sama mereka. 

1:5 Setiap kali, apabila hari-hari pesta telah berlalu, Ayub memanggil mereka, dan menguduskan mereka; keesokan harinya, pagi-pagi, bangunlah Ayub, lalu mempersembahkan korban bakaran sebanyak jumlah mereka sekalian, sebab pikirnya: "Mungkin anak-anakku sudah berbuat dosa dan telah mengutuki Allah di dalam hati." Demikianlah dilakukan Ayub senantiasa.

1:6. Pada suatu hari datanglah anak-anak Allah menghadap TUHAN dan di antara mereka datanglah juga Iblis. 

1:7 Maka bertanyalah TUHAN kepada Iblis: "Dari mana engkau?" Lalu jawab Iblis kepada TUHAN: "Dari perjalanan mengelilingi dan menjelajah bumi." 

1:8 Lalu bertanyalah TUHAN kepada Iblis: "Apakah engkau memperhatikan hamba-Ku Ayub? Sebab tiada seorangpun di bumi seperti dia, yang demikian saleh dan jujur, yang takut akan Allah dan menjauhi kejahatan." 

1:9 Lalu jawab Iblis kepada TUHAN: "Apakah dengan tidak mendapat apa-apa Ayub takut akan Allah? 

1:10 Bukankah Engkau yang membuat pagar sekeliling dia dan rumahnya serta segala yang dimilikinya? Apa yang dikerjakannya telah Kauberkati dan apa yang dimilikinya makin bertambah di negeri itu. 

1:11 Tetapi ulurkanlah tangan-Mu dan jamahlah segala yang dipunyainya, ia pasti mengutuki Engkau di hadapan-Mu." 

1:12 Maka firman TUHAN kepada Iblis: "Nah, segala yang dipunyainya ada dalam kuasamu; hanya janganlah engkau mengulurkan tanganmu terhadap dirinya." Kemudian pergilah Iblis dari hadapan TUHAN.

1:13. Pada suatu hari, ketika anak-anaknya yang lelaki dan yang perempuan makan-makan dan minum anggur di rumah saudara mereka yang sulung, 

1:14 datanglah seorang pesuruh kepada Ayub dan berkata: "Sedang lembu sapi membajak dan keledai-keledai betina makan rumput di sebelahnya, 

1:15 datanglah orang-orang Syeba menyerang dan merampasnya serta memukul penjaganya dengan mata pedang. Hanya aku sendiri yang luput, sehingga dapat memberitahukan hal itu kepada tuan." 

1:16 Sementara orang itu berbicara, datanglah orang lain dan berkata: "Api telah menyambar dari langit dan membakar serta memakan habis kambing domba dan penjaga-penjaga. Hanya aku sendiri yang luput, sehingga dapat memberitahukan hal itu kepada tuan." 

1:17 Sementara orang itu berbicara, datanglah orang lain dan berkata: "Orang-orang Kasdim membentuk tiga pasukan, lalu menyerbu unta-unta dan merampasnya serta memukul penjaganya dengan mata pedang. Hanya aku sendiri yang luput, sehingga dapat memberitahukan hal itu kepada tuan." 

1:18 Sementara orang itu berbicara, datanglah orang lain dan berkata: "Anak-anak tuan yang lelaki dan yang perempuan sedang makan-makan dan minum anggur di rumah saudara mereka yang sulung, 

1:19 maka tiba-tiba angin ribut bertiup dari seberang padang gurun; rumah itu dilandanya pada empat penjurunya dan roboh menimpa orang-orang muda itu, sehingga mereka mati. Hanya aku sendiri yang luput, sehingga dapat memberitahukan hal itu kepada tuan."

1:20. Maka berdirilah Ayub, lalu mengoyak jubahnya, dan mencukur kepalanya, kemudian sujudlah ia dan menyembah, 

1:21 katanya: "Dengan telanjang aku keluar dari kandungan ibuku, dengan telanjang juga aku akan kembali ke dalamnya. TUHAN yang memberi, TUHAN yang mengambil, terpujilah nama TUHAN!" 

1:22 Dalam kesemuanya itu Ayub tidak berbuat dosa dan tidak menuduh Allah berbuat yang kurang patut.

2:1. Pada suatu hari datanglah anak-anak Allah menghadap TUHAN dan di antara mereka datang juga Iblis untuk menghadap TUHAN. 

2:2 Maka bertanyalah TUHAN kepada Iblis: "Dari mana engkau?" Lalu jawab Iblis kepada TUHAN: "Dari perjalanan mengelilingi dan menjelajah bumi." 

2:3 Firman TUHAN kepada Iblis: "Apakah engkau memperhatikan hamba-Ku Ayub? Sebab tiada seorangpun di bumi seperti dia, yang demikian saleh dan jujur, yang takut akan Allah dan menjauhi kejahatan. Ia tetap tekun dalam kesalehannya, meskipun engkau telah membujuk Aku melawan dia untuk mencelakakannya tanpa alasan." 

2:4 Lalu jawab Iblis kepada TUHAN: "Kulit ganti kulit! Orang akan memberikan segala yang dipunyainya ganti nyawanya. 

2:5 Tetapi ulurkanlah tangan-Mu dan jamahlah tulang dan dagingnya, ia pasti mengutuki Engkau di hadapan-Mu." 

2:6 Maka firman TUHAN kepada Iblis: "Nah, ia dalam kuasamu; hanya sayangkan nyawanya."

2:7. Kemudian Iblis pergi dari hadapan TUHAN, lalu ditimpanya Ayub dengan barah yang busuk dari telapak kakinya sampai ke batu kepalanya. 

2:8 Lalu Ayub mengambil sekeping beling untuk menggaruk-garuk badannya, sambil duduk di tengah-tengah abu. 

2:9 Maka berkatalah isterinya kepadanya: "Masih bertekunkah engkau dalam kesalehanmu? Kutukilah Allahmu dan matilah!" 

2:10 Tetapi jawab Ayub kepadanya: "Engkau berbicara seperti perempuan gila! Apakah kita mau menerima yang baik dari Allah, tetapi tidak mau menerima yang buruk?" Dalam kesemuanya itu Ayub tidak berbuat dosa dengan bibirnya.

2:11. Ketika ketiga sahabat Ayub mendengar kabar tentang segala malapetaka yang menimpa dia, maka datanglah mereka dari tempatnya masing-masing, yakni: Elifas, orang Teman, dan Bildad, orang Suah, serta Zofar, orang Naama. Mereka bersepakat untuk mengucapkan belasungkawa kepadanya dan menghibur dia. 

2:12 Ketika mereka memandang dari jauh, mereka tidak mengenalnya lagi. Lalu menangislah mereka dengan suara nyaring. Mereka mengoyak jubahnya, dan menaburkan debu di kepala terhadap langit. 

2:13 Lalu mereka duduk bersama-sama dia di tanah selama tujuh hari tujuh malam. Seorangpun tidak mengucapkan sepatah kata kepadanya, karena mereka melihat, bahwa sangat berat penderitaannya.

Sebagian besar orang ketika membaca ayat ini mungkin berpikir begini, "kenapa Allah mengijinkan iblis mencobai Ayub? Kasihannya Ayub dibiarkan Allah untuk dicobai iblis". Tapi mari kita lihat lagi lebih mendalam pada ayat di atas yang Chubby beri warna merah. Satu hal yang Chubby lihat pada Ayub ini adalah betapa Allah begitu bangga kepada Ayub hingga Ia memuji Ayub bahkan di hadapan iblis. Dan pastinya Allah tahu ketika Ia memuji Ayub maka iblis akan mengatakan seribu macam alasan untuk tidak mengakui Ayub sebagai hamba Allah yang setia. Chubby merasa Allah membiarkan iblis mencobai Ayub karena Allah percaya bahwa Ayub pasti berhasil melewati semua cobaan tersebut dan tetap setia. 

Seperti halnya ketika kita sedang menonton sirkus seringkali kita melihat pawang singa masuk ke kandang singa tapi kita tidak bingung dengan keselamatan si pawang karena kita tahu bahwa dia pasti bisa mengatasi singa tersebut. Mungkin seperti itulah yang Allah rasakan ketika membiarkan iblis mencobai Ayub. Allah percaya kepada Ayub bahkan terlebih lagi Ia sangat bangga terhadap Ayub. Tidak cukup sekali Allah memuji Ayub, pada pasal berikutnya tertulis bahwa Allah memuji Ayub sekali lagi. Satu hal yang Chubby lihat pada kitab ini adalah betapa bangganya Allah kepada Ayub dan tidak hanya sebatas itu tapi Ia juga begitu percaya kepada kesetiaan Ayub. 

Nah, bisakah Chubby membuat Big Dad bangga seperti itu? That's a big question and definitely a big challenge. (^__^)

Graduation = Bad Day ?

Monday was one of the worst days in my life. It should be my graduation day and I should already took a lot of memorable pictures with my friends but the night before I got a super duper stomachache and that made me go to the toilet over and over for the whole night. I couldn't get enough sleep at all while tomorow I will have my make up at 4.30 am. My unhealthy condition really force me to stand on my limit to attend my graduation. I even threw up in the middle of the ceremony when I went to the toilet. Really a bad bad day...! 

The ballroom used for the ceremony was actually big enough and beautiful but the air conditioner wasn't cold enough or I guess the air circulation was bad. Once while I went out for the toilet I felt the air outside was better then I suddenly realized that the air in the ballroom was hot and smelled bad. I wonder if that makes me threw up. When the ceremony was over and people were queueing to go out I saw some old people without any respect to their surrounding were smoking eventhough they were within room with air conditioner. What a bad thing to do..!

I thought eventhough my graduation day wasn't as fun as I wish at least I enjoyed one thing. I felt happy when it come to my turn to go to the stage and the MC called my name and said that I'm a cumlaude. I was little bit proud of myself but I know there's still a long long way to go (^__^)

Telkom Tidak Bisa Dipercaya

Chubby udah lama banget dongkol ama Telkom Speedy. Sejak tahun pertama Speedy buka Chubby udah mendaftar bahkan waktu itu Speedy belum menyediakan paket dengan modem sampai-sampai Chubby harus pesan modem ADSL langsung dari Jakarta karena di Surabaya belum ada yang jual. Setelah beberapa tahun Chubby sebagai pelanggan lama kecewa berat dengan Speedy. Di bawah ini adalah poin-poin yang harus teman-teman perhatikan ketika berlangganan Speedy :

• Jangan pernah mau diisikan form oleh customer service di plaza telkom. Teman Chubby kena kasus petugas salah mengisikan form dengan paket office padahal teman Chubby mintanya paket personal dan ketika diklarifikasi petugas plaza telkom tidak mau mengakui malah kembali menyalahkan customer.
• Ketika Speedy bilang promo 2 bulan pertama gratis maka berhati-hatilah. Chubby dan teman Chubby sudah mengalami kejadian langsung dari penipuan ini. Ketika kita mengurus pembayaran telepon ke plaza telkom dilaporkan bahwa kita nunggak biaya Speedy sebesar 2 bulan dan lagi-lagi ketika diklarifikasi petugas plaza telkom kembali menyalahkan customer.
• Sebagai satu perusahaan corporate Speedy tidak konsisten sama sekali. Ketika di plaza telkom Garuda customer diijinkan untuk memasang lebih dari 1 line tapi di plaza telkom Manyar hal ini tidak diperbolehkan. Apa-apaan ini...!? Suatu perusahaan corporate tapi membeda-bedakan customer. Apa ini yang dimaksude level perusahaan corporate? Dan ketika Chubby telepon ke 147 memang dibenarkan bahwa policy tiap plaza telkom berbeda. 

So, guys...kalo ngga benar-benar terpaksa JANGAN PASANG SPEEDY. Sekarang Chubby masih mencari alternatif lain. Chubby sudah memutuskan untuk hengkang dari Speedy ASAP.

High School Musical 3

Sabtu kemarin akhirnya Chubby nonton HSM alias High School Musical 3. Adik Chubby yang paling kecil ngebet banget minta nonton HSM akhirnya berangkatlah kita ke Galaxy Mall buat cari tiketnya HSM dan ternyata udah full banget. Ga mungkin kan kita duduknya dua baris paling depan. Karena semua pada masih ngebet nonton HSM beralihlah kita ke Tunjungan Plaza. Sampai di sana kita sempat bingung. Enaknya nonton di mana yah, di 21 atau XXI..?? Mempertimbangkan panjangnya antrian di 21 akhirnya kita beralih ke XXI. Ini kedua kalinya Chubby nonton di XXI. Pertama kali nonton waktu itu di Sutos nonton Ironman. Waktu itu harga tiketnya masih 25,000 aja sama dengan harga tiket di 21, kalau sekarang sih udah lebih mahal dari 21, udah naik jadi 35,000. Setelah mengantri beberapa lama akhirnya Chubby mendapatkan giliran untuk membeli tiket. Ngga pake lama terpeganglah tiket nonton HSM untuk 4 orang. Fiuh...leganya..! 

Dari pengalaman cari tiket HSM ini Chubby jadi terpikir buat posting beberapa hal perbandingan mengenai 21 dan XXI buat teman-teman semua.

• Harga tiket di XXI memang lebih mahal tapi kalau kalian punya credit card BCA no need to worry, kan 50% discount. Cuma beda 5,000 doank dari harga tiket di 21 kalau kalian pakai credit card BCA dan dengan harga segitu kalian udah bisa dapetin banyak fasilitas yang jauh lebih nyaman seperti toilet yang bersih dan ngga bau pesing, great air conditioner alias ACnya dingin plus clean area and more comfortable place. I think it's affordable.
• Di XXI sepengetahuan Chubby untuk membeli tiket menggunakan credit card BCA ngga diharuskan di jalur antrian khusus di mana otomatis jumlah antrian yang tersebar untuk masing-masing loket lebih merata dan kita ngga perlu antri lama-lama di loket khusus BCA.
• Pelayanan pembelian tiket di loket relatif lebih cepat dan pegawai loket lebih ramah.
• Karena sebagian orang masih merasa XXI eksklusif dan mahal akhirnya ngga banyak orang yang doyan nonton di XXI. Nah ini salah satu benefit buat kita jadinya ngga perlu antri lama-lama. 

So, kesimpulannya buat teman-teman yang hobi nonton just try XXI using credit card BCA. I'm sure you'll be satisfied.
